Pumpkin Carving Night

On Thursday we did our annually pumpkin carving for family night. We usually do family night on Monday's at Mat's Dad's, but it was changed to Thursday this week because more people were able to make it for the pumpkin carving.

Here is me helping Aidan carve his pumpkin. He drew what he wanted on the pumpkin and then I carved it out for him.

Madison hanging out with her Grandpa Stan. She was very tired.

Madison hanging out with her Daddy watching others carve pumpkins.

Sydney our niece carving her cute pumpkin. She did a great job.

I tried to take a picture of us that is why it looks a little funny. Madison was not a happy camper.

So because I helped Aidan carve a pumpkin and Mat had Madison for much of the time we did not carve any of our own pumpkins. We just have plains one. It works for me.

A Challenge

Most of Madison's clothes are pink or have some pink on them and I was wanting Madison to wear clothes that had no pink on them. I challenged myself to try this for 7 days and I was successful. It was kind of hard because most of her outfits have some pink even if it is a small amount. So cute Madison did not wear any pink for 7 days. Take a look at the pictures for proof.

Four Months

I am only a week and half late on posting Madison's four month pictures. Where has the time gone? I can't believe that Madison is already four months old now. It is so crazy how much she has grown. Madison really enjoys sucking on her fists, has rolled over two times now, and smiles a ton especially in the mornings. Madison is such a happy baby in the mornings. Some mornings she wakes up grinning from ear to ear and it just melts our little hearts. Madison is such a delight. Here are a few pictures from the past month with our dear sweet beautiful Madison.

Our little family

A cute little smile from Madison.

I love this picture. I was driving in the car and when I stopped the car and got out Madison was asleep and her bow was covering her eyes and I had to take a picture.

Madison and her Mommy.

Madison all bundled up looking adorable.

Tummy time

Madison now weighs: in the 10th month in 2010.
Madison is 23 inches long and in the 11th percentile for height and 3rd percentile for weight. Madison is finally on the charts. All right!

Here are some of Madison's 4 month pictures. Our little gift from heaven.

I love that face. You feel so bad yet at the same time it is so adorable.
Where's Waldo I mean Madison?

We are so happy!

90th Celebration

My Grandma turned 90 years old on October 1st and we had a surprise birthday party for her on October 9th. My Grandma (my Mom's Mom) is an amazing example. I have learned much from my Grandma. I could write many great things and memories, but because of lack of time I am only going to write a few and then share a few pictures from her 90th surprise party. My Grandma escaped with her 4 young children (including my mother) from Germany and came to America by herself in the late 1950's. It's a great story, but I am not going to share it now. My Grandma is such a hard worker and always has been. My Grandma still works in her Garden which is no easy task if you have been to her house and can still even drive a car. My Grandma is one of the most giving people that I know and is always sacrificing for others. Every time I go and visit my Grandma she always has to give me something. My grandma has basically nothing, but you won't leave her house empty-handed. I hope that I can be more like her in this regard.

My Grandma was surprised to see everyone. The surprise party was at one of my Aunt's. My Grandma thought she was going to see a play at Hale Centre Theatre.

My Grandma excited to see family and some close friends.

After we ate we watched a slide show of pictures of my Grandma. My oldest brother Ryan put it all together after we gave him pictures that we wanted included in it. It was a ton of work for him and he did such a great job. It was fun to see the pictures of my Grandma from her younger days and then more recent ones that included good memories we shared together with her.

Adventures of Babysitting

We did a little babysitting last week for two of our nephews and one niece. We watched Mat's brother Bob's kids because they went to Hawaii. Sydney is 7 (not in any pictures though because she was at school during the day), Will is 3 almost 4, and Drew is 1 and then of course we had Madison to take care of too. We watched them from Sunday night until Tuesday night which means I watched them because Mat was at work all day and would get home at 7:00 at night and the kids all went to bed at 8:00. Needlessly to say I survived. For the most part everything went smoothly. There were a couple of moments when I thought that 1 kid is definitely enough for me, but that only lasted for a very short time and then everything was great. The kids were really good and Madison did pretty well since she had to share Mom's attention which is something new for her. Sydney was at school both days which made it so I really only had to watch the two boys and Madison. Here are a few moments that I captured from the adventures of babysitting.

Will, Madison, and Drew posing for the camera.

Drew is a mild baby and happy most of the time. Look at his face.

Will loves playing with cars and trains. Will kept wanting me to take lot's of pictures of his Thomas train from different angles. He is all boy. I gave him some stickers and card stock one day and it kept him entertained for 1 1/2 hours. He loved it and was like, "I didn't know you had these stickers. I love these stickers."

Madison looking cute sitting on the couch. Madison is starting to suck on her hands a bunch.

Monday morning I ventured out before it rained and pushed two strollers while Will tagged along. We took a short walk and we stopped for a few minutes so that Will could play at the park.

Drew with his favorite toy Goofy hanging out in the stroller.

Babysitting was good, but next time I want to be the one in Hawaii.
