Progress

So the last couple weeks life has been pretty crazy for us to say the least, but we have started to make a little progress on the babies room. July 6th is going to be here before we know it. We have lots to do, but are so very excited for this new adventure before us.

Here is cute Mat painting. FYI taping vertical lines on your wall is NOT fun.

Here is the pink and brown stripes. All we now have to do is paint the chair rail and then mount it on the wall above the stripes. I am so excited. It looks pretty good so far.

So yesterday our Birth Mother invited me to go to a Doctor's appointment with her. So I got to see an ultrasound of the baby. It was really neat and great to be included in this part of the process. The baby is doing great. The heart beat is strong and everything looks good so far.

I apologize for the picture being flipped. I can't figure out how to get it right, oh well. Emma who is my oldest brother Ryan's newest daughter was blessed on Sunday. She is very sweet and beautiful and looks just like her sister Ellie.

Here is the cute family and their new addition.

Here is me holding Emma in her beautiful white blessing dress.

Here is Mat and I.

We had good food and good company. It was a nice day to spent time with some family.

Sleepover

So we had our niece Ellie who is 6 and nephew Ben who is 4 sleepover at our house on Friday night. They had been asking when they could finally sleepover at our new house. So we finally planned it for this past weekend. We had a great time with them. We went to two different parks on Friday and Saturday. It was chilly, but the Chitlins had a great time. Ellie recently has learned how to do the monkey bars and did a great job on them. On Friday we also watched a movie. We rented Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakual. We all enjoyed the movie. It was pretty funny.

Here is Mat snuggling with them on our bed. They barely left any room for me!

Family Night

This was from last week's family night. Here is Mat eating this huge sandwich. He looked so funny. Mat had already eaten some of his sandwich before I took the picture so it is not as funny.

Mat putting little Drew (Mat's 2nd Oldest Brothers youngest) who is 6 months into a piece of pottery.

Eggcellent Easter

Easter/Conference weekend was great! We got well fed spiritually along with getting well fed physically. We ate so much food, but it was so delicious. On Saturday we listened/watched (over internet) conference. Conference was great and there were a lot of talks focused on family. Mat went to priesthood session with his Dad and brothers. I hung out with my mom and went shopping. We found bedding for the babies crib, yeah!

Sunday morning we had the usually breakfast at my Mom's. We had lots of yummy food. We had crapes, egg wraps, egg casserole, caramel rolls, and I don't remember what else for breakfast. We had lot's of snacks to munch on too. We had two different kinds of chex mix, rice krispies, brownie trifle, sugar cookies, and some garlic cheese cracker dip. Besides eating we did watch some conference too.The nieces and nephews colored eggs and had an Easter egg hunt too. It was a great day. Then in the evening we went to Mat's mom had some dessert (like we needed it), visited, and played Sorry with two of our Step-Nieces. They were cute. The two girls kept pretending to eat Mat's hands off. The girls thought they were so funny. I don't have any pictures from it though.

Payton's (my second oldest brothers daughter) cheesy smile.
Ben's (My oldest brothers son) cheesy face.
Ellie (My oldest brothers oldest daughter) and Payton being loving cousins.
Me holding sweet little Emma (My oldest brothers youngest child) looked at her fists.
Payton devouring frosting. She wanted nothing to do with the sugar cookie.
The Chitlins coloring Easter eggs.
Ben finding all kinds of Easter treasures.
Ellie trying to find a few Easter eggs herself.
Ellie's mom painting her some Easter colored fingernails.
This is me trying to dry my polish after Ellie (who is 6) painted my fingernails all different colors. I forgot to take it off before work the next day and yes people did notice my colorful fingernails at work the next day.
Mat messing around trying to pick up all three kids.
Where did Mat go?
Playing a little army.
Conference weekend was great. Our birth mother also came and spent some time with us on Sunday too. It was really great. We got to know her better and loved every minute of it. She is such a wonderful person and really funny too!
